Cherry Song (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores how to make art beyond Homo sapiens, investigating how art can become part of an ecosystem. Her practice evolves like living organisms, She imagines the ‘functioning’ worlds or systems with each work, weaves fiction and science, and how idiosyncrasies engage with the fantastical. She often collaborates with other life forms in her practice, in which they have their own freedom and consciousness for their own chosen direction, creating platforms that provide habitats for ecological coexistence.
